Choosing an EV Car Brand

When you are in the market for a new vehicle, you want to choose a brand that is going to make your experience easier. One of the best options out there right now is the electric car, and there are many different brands to choose from. Here is a look at a few of them.

Audi

Audi is one of the world’s leading car brands. It is part of the Volkswagen Group. Electrification is a major part of the company’s strategy. The brand has already launched several electric vehicles, including the Q8 e-tron. They are priced well and offer luxury features and excellent safety and reliability standards.

As the automotive industry evolves, more automakers are moving toward electric cars. Audi has a large lineup of EVs, starting with the entry level Q4 e-tron and ending with the luxury sedan e-tron GT.

BMW

BMW, a luxury automaker, is bringing an all-electric sedan to market later this year. The BMW i4 is the first BMW model to be produced entirely from electricity, and it represents an important part of the company’s expanding EV portfolio.

During the past five decades, BMW engineers have made strides toward creating fully electric cars. They began with the BMW E1, which was the world’s first purpose-built all-electric car. It was based on a body shell created using carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

Fisker

Fisker is a new EV car brand with an ambitious vision. The company plans to manufacture 1,000,000 electric vehicles a year by 2027. They want to differentiate themselves from the traditional automakers.

Fisker has a unique design and an ambition to bring affordable EVs to the market. Their first vehicle will be the Ocean SUV. It will be built in Austria and has a price tag of around $37,499, and will be available with a $7,500 tax credit in the US.

Canoo

Canoo, an EV car brand, has recently announced that it will produce its first EV in Oklahoma City. While the announcement is good news for the city of Oklahoma, it is not entirely certain that the company will be able to do so.

The EV company has had its share of challenges so far. In the second quarter, the company posted a loss of $164.4 million. As of the end of the third quarter, Canoo had $33.8 million in cash on hand. However, the company’s shares have dropped by more than 50% since its stock began trading publicly in December.

Ola

Ola EV is a new electric car brand launched by the ride-hailing company Ola. The first model is expected to be launched by 2024. In order to make the car competitive with other electric cars, Ola plans to invest heavily in its technological capabilities.

Ola EV will be built in Tamil Nadu. It will have a 500 km driving range on a single charge, and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km in just four seconds.

Ola Electric plans to launch six different models. These will be priced from INR 1 lakh to INR 50 lakh. However, the price of the first model is not yet revealed.

Rivian

Rivian is an electric vehicle car brand that’s just beginning to make its mark. The company has already produced over 14,000 vehicles and is on track to produce over 10,000 more by the end of the year. In 2022, Rivian plans to have 11,500 employees.

Rivian’s vision is to build a range of vehicles that cater to the active outdoor market. These include off-road capable trucks and SUVs. They’re built on a skateboard-inspired platform that allows for flexibility.

Lordstown Motors

When Lordstown Motors launched its electric vehicle pickup truck, it hoped to create a new industry. That’s certainly an ambitious goal for a startup that has yet to produce a single truck. But the company is on track to make it happen.

Earlier this year, Lordstown said it had received more than 40,000 pre-orders for its pickup truck, the Endurance. Now, the company has confirmed that Foxconn Technology Group, a Taiwanese contract manufacturer, has purchased its assembly plant.

Workhorse

Workhorse Group is an American technology company that manufactures sustainable electric vehicles. The company’s primary products include a plug-in electric W-15 pickup truck and an electric van. These vehicles are geared towards delivery service.

The C-1000 electric van was designed for last mile delivery. It was built on a proprietary chassis and uses Panasonic Li-Ion battery packs to achieve 40 MPG in on-road applications. However, the vehicle has been recalled, and the company plans to discontinue the vehicle after using up its parts inventory.
